Tips to Maintain Wooden Window Frames

Let's first talk about the type of finish you get in the wood window frames:

Varnishes- people who live in coastal areas using the varnish as their wooden frames for windows. You do not have to expose varnish in extreme heat or else it will crack on the surface.   

Thus you just close the window and found the crack and the sand just that area. If the sand does not work then use paint removers to remove the varnish. Once you see the lacquer has come out, clean water, and apply another coat.

Sealant- sealant is a more comfortable option than the previous ones because it is easier to close the forest. Oiler thinned down could last up to five years in areas highly exposed wood. After the first layer of sealant to dry thoroughly then you sand them. Now wipe with a cloth dipped in turpentine and wait until dry it for another coat.
