If you have never experimented with creating your own bath salt then you are missing out on an amazingly versatile bath product that can be used for everything from brushing your teeth to cleaning your clothes.

I was having a hard time finding bath products that really made my skin feel great. After a long day at work, it just seemed like I was just getting through the motions. It wasn't until I was looking through the ingredients in a health food store that I saw the benefits of bath salts on the market. The most amazing thing was the healing powers of Dead Sea salt! I knew that there had to be a way to incorporate bath salt into my routine but I wasn't sure what kind of products to look for.

There are many different types of salts on the market ranging from Epsom salt to dead sea salt and others like to combine two or three different essential oils in unique scents to create a unique therapeutic blend. I decided that I wanted to incorporate essential oils like sandalwood and Rosemary in my bath salt recipe. I also decided that I wanted to create a spa-like experience so I included lavender, jasmine, and peach. Since these essential oils provide unique therapeutic treatment to the body they would make a great base for your own unique bath salt recipe.

The best way to mix your essential oils is to pour them slowly into a pan with clean hot water until they are completely dissolved. Once the oils are totally dissolved, you will need to slowly add you're essential oils to the water so that they are fully distributed throughout the bath salt solution. After the essential oils are completely mixed in the water you can then add your Epsom salt. Epsom salt is very beneficial because it helps to draw out all the moisture from your skin leaving it nice and soft for you to enjoy. It also helps to eliminate dead skin cells, which is one of the main causes of cracks and other types of skin irritation.

My beautiful creation! My bath salt creation was so beautiful and feminine and oh so soothing. I used lavender, jasmine, Rosemary, peach, sandalwood, Epsom salt, and Epsom salts. My guests raved about how wonderful my creation looked and the wonderful aroma it gave off. Everyone raved about how great smelling my creation was.

To make this relaxing blend even better add one tablespoon of peppermint essential oil and one tablespoon of tea tree essential oil. You can also add the ingredients to a small tub or pot and stir until they are totally blended. Pour this mixture into your bathtub along with your lavender and jasmine oils. Allow your mixture to soak for at least thirty to sixty minutes to give your body time to relax and unwind.

After soaking the bath add one teaspoon of the Dead Sea salt to your hot tub and soak for another twenty minutes. Once the initial soaking time is up rinse your body thoroughly. Let your body fall asleep while soaking in your tub. When you wake up you will be so surprised at how relaxed and refreshed you are. Add the Dead Sea salt to your tub and soak for another twenty minutes before finishing your bath.

If you don't like the idea of mixing your own healing properties with other things in your bath then you can purchase Dead Sea salt and Epsom salts for a lower price online. It's important that you use sea salt bath products that have their own unique healing properties and qualities. For example Epsom salt works as an anti-bacterial, it also works as an antiseptic, deodorant, and helps your skin to rejuvenate. These properties work together to make a total healing experience. Other bath products such as Dead Sea salt and lavender oil are also beneficial in other ways such as for pain relief and soothing burns. By having your own unique blend of therapeutic elements to add to your tub you are ensuring that you are providing your body with the exact therapeutic qualities that you need.
